Spy Party, Chris Hecker's two-player stealth-action Turing Test indie game, is a tough game to describe on paper — but a 15-minute tutorial video demonstrates why the long-in-development title has attracted so much attention.
Spy Party, Chris Hecker's two-player stealth-action Turing Test indie game, is a tough game to describe on paper — but a 15-minute tutorial video demonstrates why the long-in-development title has attracted so much attention.
The video, which was initially distributed to beta testers before being released by Hecker on YouTube, shows off the complexities of the game's two adversarial roles: The Spy, and the Sniper. While the former must disguise their actions and animations while accomplishing four objectives in a room crowded by AI partygoers, the latter must identify and shoot them.
It's a bit more complicated than it sounds; hence the tutorial. Check out the demonstration below, and if your fancy is tickled, sign up for the Spy Party beta on the game's official site.
