PixelJunk 4am, Q-Games' dynamic music generator/visualizer, will arrive on the PlayStation Network May 15th, lead designer Rowan Parker revealed on PlayStation Blog today.
The game allows players to manipulate tracks and samples of pre-arranged tunes using a Move controller, giving them the ability to pull different track components from the ether and apply effects on the fly. Up to two players can influence the track at the same time — or one player holding two Moves, making them look like some sort of beautiful soundwizard.
Q-Games will host a live beta of PixelJunk 4am for PlayStation Plus subscribers starting May 1, and running up to the game's launch. Plus subscribers will also be able to download the 4am Free Viewer during the beta to watch other folks' compositions in real time. Check out the video below to see the mixology in action.
