Ubisoft is prepping to invade Facebook this spring with a tactical combat game based on their Ghost Recon series.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Commander is being developed by Loot Drop, co-founded by famed developers John Romero and Brenda Garno Brathwaite, according to the publisher. The game promises to bring the "high production values and deep gameplay that hard-core gamers have come to expect from console games" to the social platform, according to the press release.

In the game, players will developer their own special forces Ghost and apparently task them against enemies in missions. Ubisoft hasn't said much about the gameplay yet, but they do say the game is going to also be coming to mobile platforms and that it will support asynchronous cooperative play where gamers can join friends on a mission or offer themselves up as mercenaries.
