Max Payne 3 will receive a number of map packs and other DLC expansions later this year, all of which can be bought in bulk at discount with a season pass, Rockstar has revealed.
The first add-on for Max Payne 3 will be the "Local Justice" map pack, due to launch sometime in June. The DLC will feature three new multiplayer maps, including the Police Precinct, as well as new cosmetic items and multiplayer challenges.
Later this summer, the game will receive the "Disorganized Crime" and "Hostage Negotiation" map packs, a new "Deathmatch Made in Heaven" mode and new co-op content titled "New York Minute." In the fall, the game will receive two more map packs: "Painful Memories" and "Trickle Down Economics."
If you're already thinking ahead to how you'll afford all seven expansions, you might be the right audience for the Rockstar DLC Pass. It's a $30 bundle available for pre-order today on Xbox Live, PSN and some retail outlets which will unlock each piece of content as it's released.
Rockstar promises the bundle will save buyers "over 35 percent" off the total price if each DLC pack is bought piecemeal. If each pack costs the same, that suggests that they'll cost around six dollars (480 Microsoft Points) a pop.
