DICE-controlled servers are returning to the console versions of Battlefield 3 today after a wave of discontent from users dissatisfied with privately-rented servers.
Last week EA announced that Battlefield 3's console servers were being replaced by privately-run servers that had been rented out to players. Only a small percentage of servers were hosted by DICE.
Today, an EA representative told GamesBeat: "You should see DICE-hosted servers up today. I don't have the exact percentage or number of servers, but we'll continue to monitor this to make sure all players are having the best possible gameplay experience."
At the time of writing, there are more than 170 DICE-hosted Battlefield 3 servers for the PlayStation 3. Private servers are still available to those who prefer them to DICE's servers.
