Ubisoft Massive working on next gen title
Ubisoft Massive is working on a next-gen title, according to a job listing posted to the official website.
As stated in the post, the Sweden-based studio is searching for an online game programmer with experience in server programming to join the team "in working with a next-gen project."
"You will be developing modern AAA Online game features, taking them from a persisted backend through the game engine to the user interface. You will work iteratively in tight collaboration with other programmers, game designers and testers; to design feature code architecture to fit multiple platforms and backend."
The studio, acquired by Ubisoft in 2008, was initially believed to play a key role in the publisher's push toward massively multiplayer online development. Ubisoft Massive is currently hiring a number of character artists, environment artists, game designers and programmers for the massively multiplayer online genre in addition to the next gen role.
Ubisoft Massive is best known for real-time strategy series' World in Conflict and Ground Control. The studio also collaborated in the development of Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Far Cry 3.
