THQ and Obsidian Entertainment's South Park: The Stick of Truth has been pushed from its initial launch window in the second half of 2012 to the first few months of 2013.
The announcement comes in THQ's latest investor's report, which says the South Park RPG will release in the fourth quarter of its 2013 fiscal year, a period running January 1st through March 31st.
The fact that there's any announcements at all about the project is promising, as Obsidian was forced to cancel one of its games and cut 20 to 30 employees from its staff in March. A few of those employees were pulled from South Park: The Stick of Truth — which could be a possible cause of the delay. Then again, it could just be another example of a publisher avoiding the holiday release rush like it was on fire.
