U4iA, a new development studio founded by former Call of Duty leads Dusty Welch and Chris Archer, revealed its first project: a free-to-play browser-based FPS called Offensive Combat.
Offensive Combat will run in browsers across the globe, and will have some level of interaction with mobile devices and tablets — though the game's press release announcement didn't give any specifics on that functionality. The press release promises "console-quality, high energy, frenetic competition," all running on an eSports server architecture, possibly intimating the developer's hopes to win over the professional competitive crowd.
The game will also allow players a ton of character customization options, as is evidenced by the screenshot above. See? You can either play as a dude in a bulletproof vest, or as Rango. If that sounds like your cup of tea, keep your eye out for Offensive Combat's beta to open its doors this summer.
