Overkill Entertainment to collaborate with Valve in Left 4 Dead/Payday: The Heist blend
Overkill Entertainment is teaming up with Valve to collaborate on a project involving Payday: The Heist and Left 4 Dead, the studio confirmed in a statement today.
Writing on the official website, Overkill game director Ulf Andersson stated both studios are working on a "blend" of the two multiplayer titles.
"As perceptive gamers will have noticed, several hints have recently been dropped into PAYDAY The Heist, which has led to various rumors. We are excited to be able to confirm that an in-depth collaboration between OVERKILL and Valve is currently in production.
"We are working on a very cool blend of PAYDAY and Left 4 Dead. I am sure it is so exciting that it will have some players check into the hospital before we are done."
The studio adds that further "infectious" information will be released in time through the Overkill website.
A sequel to Payday: The Heist is also currently in the works as well as an enhanced edition of the game.
