Infinity Blade 2 will receive new enemies, new areas and new ClashMob functionality with the free Vault of Tears update scheduled to go live this Thursday.
Vault of Tears, which developer Chair promises to be Infinity Blade 2's "largest free content update to date," unlocks new areas for the player to explore, and more plot details on the game's oft-killed protagonist, Siris. There are also new monsters to fight, new items to collect and master, more Achievements to earn, a new Treasure Map feature and some social networking tie-ins. Having trouble taking down that ClashMob challenge? Get a boost by asking for help on Facebook and Twitter. Your friends are going to love that.
Check out some screenshots from the update in the gallery below, making sure not to miss out on the new cardboard armor set. That simply cannot offer you the kind of protection you're going to need in some of Infinity Blade 2's more threatening scenarios.
