The Secret World delayed again
Supernatural massively multiplayer game The Secret World will be delayed by two weeks, developer Funcom announced today.
The game will now release July 3, following a decision to push the title back due to "market reasons."
"The new launch date places The Secret World in a more positive launch window which will benefit the launch of the game," the company's senior community manager stated on the Funcom forum.
Early access to the game will now begin June 29 due to the delay.
The title's beta weekends remain steady, however, with Funcom revealing additional details and dates for upcoming beta events.
The Secret World's third beta weekend, called Hell Raised, will run from June 15 to June 17 and allow users to play through the illuminati and dragon starter experiences in addition to the templar. Users will be able to investigate the Savage Coast area as well as the Hell Raised dungeons. The fourth and final beta weekends run from June 22 to June 24 and provides player-versus-player gameplay.
This is the second delay for The Secret World, after being pushed back from an early April release to June 19.
