Dark Souls is coming to Steam, while PC DLC will become available on consoles this winter.

The PC version of Dark Souls, titled Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, is coming to Steam, according to Namco Bandai, following last May's announcement of a version available through Games for Windows Live.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition for PC will be available on August 24 in North America via both distribution platforms.

Console versions of the game will also receive previously PC-exclusive DLC this winter, the publisher confirmed, called Artorias of the Abyss. The content will include new explorable areas, enemies, NPCs and boss types, cost 1200 MS points on Xbox 360 or $14.99 on PS3.

Dark Souls released in 2011 to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, followed by a PC the following year.
