Next Need for Speed due this fall (update: Dead Space also!)

One of EA's "announced titles" is an unannounced Need for Speed

An unnamed Need for Speed game is destined for console, handheld/mobile, and PC and is due out in the company's fiscal third quarter, which means we can expect the release between October 2012 and the end of the year.

In a presentation detailing Electronic Arts' fiscal Q4 earnings, for the period ending March 31, the publisher outs a still-unannounced Need for Speed in a slide fittingly titled "Fiscal Year 2013 Announced Titles by Label and Platform." Of course, EA may be forgetting that the game is unannounced since South African retailer BTGames listed one Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2 amongst its offerings last month.

According to the slide, the unnamed Need for Speed game is destined for console, handheld/mobile, and PC and is due out in the company's fiscal third quarter, which means we can expect the release between October 2012 and the end of the year.

Other titles on the slide, all actually announced, include Medal of Honor Warfighter, Crysis 3, and the new SimCity.

Update: Joystiq reports that EA also revealed that an as-yet-unannounced "Dead Space" game was part of its "blockbuster" lineup for 2012. Notably, that same South African retailer listed Dead Space 3 last month as well. Awkward.
