'Zumba Fitness' publisher net revenue down in second fiscal quarter

Sales driven by Zumba

Majesco Entertainment makes its second quarter fiscal 2012 report public.

Zumba Fitness developer Majesco Entertainment reports net revenue for the 2012 second fiscal quarter is down from last year's $32.1 million to $30.4 million according to its annual fiscal results.

However, the company found success in international revenue which grew 100 percent to $6.5 million, which made up 21 percent of net revenue during the second quarter. Since April 30 of this year, Majesco nearly doubled in cash and cash equivalents, growing from $18.5 million to $31.7 million.

As revealed by the publisher, sales were driven largely on the strength of Zumba Fitness 2 and the release of Zumba Fitness Rush for Kinect.

The company expects fiscal 2012 full year net revenue in a range of $130 to $140 million.

Majesco's announced product lineup for the third quarter of 2012 includes Hello Kitty Picnic with Sanrio Friends for Nintendo 3DS and Double Dragon Neon on XBLA and PSN.
