The latest installment in the Valkyria Chronicles series is a free-to-play browser-based game, according to a new trailer released by Sega.

Valkyria Chronicles Duel, which has been confirmed for Japan, will allow players to build a battalion by collecting cards, of which there are more than 200. Players will develop their base camp, take control of enemy territories, and take part in 3D battles that play out in a similar style to past installments of the game.

The payment model will be in the form of micro-transactions for in-game items. The official website for the game also mentions a smartphone app for the game, but does not provide details. Sega has not announced whether Valkyria Chronicles Duel will be available outside of Japan at this stage.

The trailer can be viewed below.
