Nintendo plans to sell downloadable levels for New Super Mario Bros. 2's Coin Rush mode following the game's release, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said during a presentation today.
The 3DS game, due out worldwide in August, will feature a Coin Rush mode which has players running through three random levels trying to collect as many coins as possible with only one life.
But during a Nintendo Direct video presentation, Iwata said that there will also be paid download stages for the mode following the game's release. The development team plans to create the levels later this year, listening to fan feedback. No pricing was announced.
