Disney Interactive is developing a movie tie-in game on Wii, 3DS, and DS for Wreck-It Ralph, the upcoming CG film from Disney Animation, Activision announced today.
Activision is set to publish and distribute the video game, which will take the movie's original characters, including Ralph and Fix-It Felix, and continue the story in a "classic, arcade-style side scroller." The film's fictional games, such as Sugar Rush, Hero's Duty, and Fix-It Felix, Jr., will serve as levels in the game. The Wii version will allow for two-player co-op throughout the story, where players can switch between Ralph and Felix to solve puzzles.
It is unclear if any of the film's voice actors, like John C. Reilly (Ralph) and Jack McBrayer (Felix), will reprise their roles for the Wreck-It Ralph game. There's also no word yet on whether the famous video game villains who appeared in the trailer — including Zangief, Bowser, and Dr. Robotnik — will also show up in the game.
The Wreck-It Ralph video game will likely launch shortly before the film's release on November 2nd. Watch the film's debut trailer below.
Update: A PR representative for the game told Polygon that "a large number" of the film's voice actors will appear in the game, but that none of the classic video game characters will.
