'Dead or Alive 5' preorder incentives feature swimsuits for female fighters

Tecmo Koei announced preorder incentives and a Collector's Edition for Dead or Alive 5 today, both to include bunny-style swimsuit skins for the game's female fighters.

Players who preorder DOA5 from Gamestop will receive the DOA Angels pack, a set of white swimsuits for characters Kasumi, Leifang, and Hitomi. Preordering from Amazon will net buyers the DOA Devils pack, featuring black suits for Christie, Tina, and Ayane.

We were disappointed to learn there were no preorder Speedo rewards for Zack and Ryu.

The Collector's Edition, sold exclusively at GameStop for $79.99, includes swimsuit costumes for the game's full female cast as well as an embossed steel case containing a collection of Dead or Alive goodies. These include a limited edition Dead or Alive 5 art book, a copy of the game's soundtrack, and a full color poster of the game's cast.

Dead or Alive 5 was nominated for the Game Critics' Awards "Best Fighting Game" at E3 and features dynamic destructible environments as well as a new rock-paper-scissors-style combat system. The game will release on September 25 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
