Users who own Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode I on Android will gain access to one additional stage titled Episode Metal which will bridge the gap between Sonic CD and Episode II. Episode Metal allows users to control Sonic's rival Metal Sonic across four reworked acts from Episode I.

The game is available on Google Play for $6.99. In addition, Sonic 4 Episode II and Episode Metal are available on Xbox LIVE for 1200 points, PlayStation Network for $14.99, PC for $14.99, as well as iOS systems.
