Square Enix released Final Fantasy III on Google Play for Android devices today.

The Android version of the game was first released in March exclusively for the Japanese Android market. Almost four months on, the rest of the world can purchase the Japanese role-playing classic for their Android devices for $15.99.

A version of Final Fantasy III has been available for the Nintendo DS and iOS devices for some time, with a PSP version slated for September. The game on sale in the Android marketplace has new and improved 3D visuals with story sequences exclusive to the Android, touch-panel controls, and new visual designs for the Job Mastery Cards.

The game can be purchased here.
