'The Last Guardian' was not ready for E3

"The Last Guardian" still isn't ready.

The Last Guardian team had no time to make a demo for E3.

Sony's The Last Guardian was not present at E3 this week because, simply put, it wasn't ready.

SCEA Senior Vice President of Product Development and Worldwide Studios Scott Rohde told Polygon, "Fundamentally what we're about is making great games and great experiences and we're not going to ship a game until its ready to be shipped - especially when it's from a team like that."

Sony Worldwide President Shuhei Yoshida also told Eurogamer that developers were experiencing "technical difficulties" and that there was not enough time to get a demo ready for E3 this year.

The Last Guardian was unveiled at E3 2009. Problems arose late last December when game designer Fumito Ueda left production and since then the team has been making "slow progress."
