This year's world championship tournament for StarCraft 2 and World of Warcraft will culminate in Shangahi, China, on November 17-18.

The Shanghai tournament will crown a winner who will have to first win national and continental tournaments to make it to China. The World Championship Series comprises more than 30 national and continental tournaments around the world.

"We're looking forward to seeing the best players in the World Championship Series face each other at the Battle.netWorld Championship in Shanghai this November," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "The level of StarCraft II and World of Warcraft Arena competition we've already seen around the world has been amazing, so we're anticipating a truly epic finale."

The event will also play host to a gathering for the Blizzard gaming community, with attendees given the opportunity to have hands-on time with Blizzard's latest games, meet some of the world's highest ranked e-athletes, and buy commemorative Blizzard merchandise.

More information will be available on Blizzard's website as the event draws closer.
