A new Call of Duty Black Ops 2 video highlights story and score and includes interviews with the writer and composer.

Black Ops 2, the latest sequel from developer Treyarch's branch of the Call of Duty franchise, received a behind the scenes video today that includes interviews with the game's composer and writer.

"When you’re making a game like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, you’re trying to pull together the greatest talents you can in the world," said Mark Lamaia, Treyarch’s studio head.

To that end, the studio enlisted Trent Reznor, the driving force behind Nine Inch Nails and recent Academy Award winner, to write Black Ops 2's score.

"I look at video games as a true art form," Reznor said. "The chance to be involved in something like this is exciting to me. I feel it’s every bit as viable as film work, or music, or anything else."

Treyarch also enlisted screenwriter David S. Goyer, whose Hollywood résumé includes Batman Begins and the upcoming Superman reboot, Man of Steel, to pen the story.

"We were approaching it in some ways as a big event movie," Boyer said. "Even though it’s a first person shooter, it’s got to be sophisticated, funny, challenging, and it’s got to have twists and turns. In the case of Black Ops, I would argue that the story is better than most movies being made."

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is set for release on November 13th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. You can watch the video below.
