'Dead or Alive 5' throws Tina and Jann Lee into the ring

Tina and Jann Lee duke it out with La Mariposa and Mr. Strong in Dead or Alive 5.

In addition to officially confirming the return of two Dead or Alive regulars — Tina Armstrong and Jann Lee — developer Team Ninja shows off Dead or Alive 5's tag team action in an all-new trailer today. It's positively dripping with tag teaming, two-on-one attacks, and not for the faint of heart.

Watch as Jann Lee and Tina take on the likes of La Mariposa and Mr. Strong — AKA Lisa and Bass Armstrong — in a new stage named "Fighting Entertainment!" You'll also see other Dead or Alive 5 fighters double teaming each other, including Leifang, Kokoro, newcomer Rig, and Sarah and Akira from Virtua Fighter 5.

Publisher Tecmo Koei also released a big batch of new screenshots from Dead or Alive 5, including a peek at the fighting game's Training Mode. According to Tecmo, "a wealth of options are now available on the settings screen for players to adjust the AI opponent's behavior, such as input recording, recovery time from staggers and more." Tecmo adds that the game's Story Mode will include optional side missions that teach "everything from basic controls to advanced fighting techniques."

Dead or Alive 5 will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in North America on September 25th.
