The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Update 1.7 is now available on Steam, and will make its way to consoles soon, where it will add some overdue content to the PS3 version of the game, and tighten up Kinect functionality on 360.
The update is only in its beta test on Steam, but includes fixes for a number of crashing instances and animation bugs, as well as adds "general memory and stability optimizations." Once its put through the wringer on PCs, it will go to consoles — the Xbox 360 version in particular will benefit from a number of fixes, such as "improved recognition with Kinect voice commands," as well as compatibility for French, German, Italian and Spanish dragon shouts.
The PS3 version of the update will roll in changes from Update 1.6, which never made it to the console — including horse-mounted combat. No release date for these console versions have been announced, but we've reached out to Bethesda to try and get an ETA.
