Ubisoft to announce new free-to-play titles at Gamescom

Ubisoft will announce new free-to-play titles at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany next month.

Ubisoft will hold a press conference to unveil new free-to-play titles as well as discuss the company's future with online games at Gamescom next month, the company announced today.

The press conference will take place on August 15th at 9:00 a.m. EST. Ubisoft will announce new free-to-play games linked to some of the company's popular franchises, as well as detail involvement with e-sports and its growing presence in the online gaming market.

"The total number of players and the resulting opportunities for our industry continue to multiply as new types of gaming take hold," said CEO Yves Guillemot in a press release. "After a successful E3, we're looking forward to bringing a strong lineup to Gamescom so that customers can experience many of our hotly anticipated titles first hand."

Many of Ubisoft's upcoming titles will also be available to play at Gamescom, including Assassin's Creed III and Liberation, Rayman Legends, and ZombiU.

Gamescom, the largest interactive entertainment expo in Europe, will take place August 15th through August 19th in Cologne, Germany.
