Australian game developer Krome Studios launched a new website today and revealed that a new Ty the Tasmanian Tiger game is currently in the works.
An update on the site reads: "Hey looky here everybody, we're back", followed by a poster marking the 10th anniversary of Ty the Tasmian Tiger's original launch. "Get ready for a whole new 'Rang Game!", the poster reads.
The original Ty the Tasmanian Tiger was released as a 3D platformer for PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube in 2002.
Krome used to be Australia's largest game development studio before the closure of its Adelaide studio in 2010. The studio ran into financial trouble following the global financial crisis and has remained fairly quiet since, working on digital downloads. The last boxed console title released by the studio was an anime adventure game called Blade Kitten.
