Paradox Interactive announced Impire, a dungeon-building strategy game from Cyanide, at its On Tour press event yesterday.

Impire sees players take the role of the demon lord Báal-Abaddon, whom the sorcerer Oscar van Fairweather has trapped inside the body of a poor little imp. The game will task players with breaking free of the imp body, regaining the demon's full form, and building up a dungeon to serve as his new kingdom.

Báal-Abaddon's dungeon will have to be defended from attack, and tools for warding off invaders include minions, death traps, and magical spells. Minions can be leveled up and outfitted with loot, and the campaign supports solo and co-op play. A separate multiplayer setup gives players the opportunity to "confront and crush" other users.

Cyanide's most recent title was the Game of Thrones RPG.

Impire is slated for a Q1 2013 release on PC. The debut trailer and first screenshots can be seen below.
