Scrolls is entering into alpha and codes are on their way, says developer Mojang.

Collectible card-based role-playing game Scrolls is entering into alpha and code delivery is on its way, developer Mojang confirmed on the official website for the game.

The team will begin sending out "quite a modest number of codes" by email, with more to come at a later date. Users will be selected at random from the list of those who signed up; however, those not currently on the list must wait until open beta before they have their chance to play the game.

Users who are chosen for access to the alpha will experience Scrolls' deck building, single player, and multiplayer. They are also invited to report all bugs found, with further information regarding bug reports to be found in the invitation email.

Scrolls is expected to release this year with a multiplatform launch, despite earlier confirmation of a focus on PC platforms.
