The so-called "easy mode" will not be an actual difficulty setting that you choose before starting your game — rather, it's a toggle available in the options menu, which players can activate any time they're overwhelmed by a challenge. It's unclear whether the new setting will be made available to North American Dragon's Dogma players, but we've reached out to Capcom to find out.
The Japanese PS3 version of the game will also receive a longform demo on August 9th, which takes players from character creation all the way through a fight with a multi-headed Hydra. Better still, data from the demo can be imported into the full game. We've also inquired whether this demo will come stateside as well.
