Madden NFL 13 is coming soon, and EA Sports is building excitement for the game with a gameplay demo that will be available next Tuesday, August 14th, on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.

A demo will also be available on PlayStation Vita, but that version of the game is very different from the console experience.

The demo offers two different matchups: a rematch of last season's NFC Championship Game between the Giants and 49ers, and a Seahawks-Redskins game in DC. It allows users to play a full game with five-minute quarters on the difficulty setting of their choice, although sliders can't be tweaked. It's meant to highlight the major changes to gameplay this year, including the Infinity Engine's real-time physics, as well as significant presentation upgrades such as commentary with CBS's Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.

As a gameplay demo, it won't include a look at the new Connected Careers mode, although it will let players import images of themselves for the mode's Photo Game Face feature and bring them into the full game.

Madden NFL 13 is due out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Vita on August 28th, and on Wii U at its launch. Check out the pre-game intro packages for each matchup in the videos embedded below.
