Sleeping Dogs, the open-world crime thriller from United Front Games and Square Enix London Studios, will be supplemented with six months of additional content following its launch this week, publisher Square Enix announced today.

"Sleeping Dogs is a game we know fans will want to keep on playing, so over the next six months we'll be creating a series of new content packs giving players everything they need to keep enjoying the game," said Square Enix London Studios general manager Lee Singleton. In addition to customization content such as extra cars and outfits, the developers are promising "game-extending mission packs."

Content available at launch includes the Retro Triad Pack, which includes a "funky kung-fu van" and an '80s-themed outfit that confers character buffs. Players who have a Just Cause 2 save file on their hard drive will unlock another skin for protagonist Wei Shen.

Going forward from September, the developers will release content packs such as a Racing Pack and SWAT Pack, with further details and more announcements to follow.

Sleeping Dogs will be out tomorrow, August 14th, on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
