Injustice: Gods Among Us adds one more DC Comics character with Catwoman.

NetherRealm Studios' fighting game set in the DC universe has a new addition: Catwoman. The cat burglar, whip enthusiast, and one-time foe of Batman has been confirmed as a playable character in Injustice: Gods Among Us at Gamescom.

Catwoman's moves appear to focus mainly on claw-based, hand-to-hand combat and liberal use of her whip to reach foes at longer distances. It is currently unclear what her unique special move will be, as her use of a rocket launcher and teleportation device are simply stage-based attacks.

Catwoman's confirmation brings the fighting game's roster to nine, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Nightwing, and Cyborg. Addressing a fan concern on Twitter, NetherRealm's Ed Boon says "There are a TON of characters outside of the Batman family coming to Injustice. Just WAIT till you see how far out we venture!"

For now, we'll settle for NetherRealm's take on Selina Kyle.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is planned for a 2013 release on PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360.
