Hitman Absolution won't be a simple port when it comes to the PC, it will be a "complete experience," IO Interactive's Jonas Meyer told a gathering of press in Cologne, Germany today.

"The features in our PC build ensures that Hitman Absolution on PC is the complete PC experience and not just a port," he said.

Meyer says that's possible because the developers are building the game with their proprietary Glacier 2 engine. While the engine started out as a PC DX10 project, evolutions of the engine later added DX11 support and high end features that consoles simply can't support.

The focus on cutting edge PC tech helps the team create a game that follows the "stylized hyper-realism" look of the game. That looks includes things like bloom, glare, lens flares, saturated color, high controls and a target frame rate of 30 FPS.

The game will also feature DX11 hardware tesselation support, which helps smooth rounded objects, like Agent 47's bald head. The PC version will also include better lighting than was possible on the console version, postfilters that help improve the look of rain and puddles in the game and adds a greater depth of field. The PC version will also have increased texture resolution, higher shadow map resolution and more real-time reflections.

Other fun little additions include support for both AMD Eyefinity support, which helps gamers play the title across multiple screens, and AMD HD3D support.

"We want the game to look as awesome as possible," he said.

The game will include both controller and mouse and keyboard support on the PC. It will also be optimized to run well on both low and high-end machines.

Meyer added that the game will have full Steamworks integration, which includes Steam Cloud saves.

Hitman Absolution is due out on November 20th.
