Remember Me was announced during Capcom's Gamescom 2012 press conference today, and the publisher later released a lengthy video showing part of a mission from the futuristic action title.
The mission — in which the protagonist, Nilin, is ordered to "remix" a man's memory so he'll commit suicide — was one of two gameplay demos that developer Dontnod Entertainment presented. After some stealth gameplay that sees her climb up and hang from the environment to avoid detection by human and robot guards, she uses a special ability to delve into the target's memory and make him think he killed his estranged wife.
Once she leaves his mind, he gets a call from some guards who are coming to take him to a promotion ceremony. But he believes that they're instead coming to arrest him, so he shoots himself a few minutes before a guard — and his wife — walk in. It's an intense sequence.
Remember Me is currently set for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in May 2013. Check out our write-up of the full Gamescom 2012 presentation, as well as six screenshots below.
