Diablo 3 is now available to play for free up to the Skeleton King boss in Act 1 and up to level 13 for those who download the Diablo 3 Starter Edition via Battle.net.
The Starter Edition allows players to experience up to the Skeleton King in the first Act of the game without having to purchase a copy of Diablo 3.
To access the Starter Edition, players need to log into their existing Battle.net account and sign up for it. The Starter Edition will have restricted features, but any progress and achievements earned while playing it will automatically carry over if a player decides to upgrade to the full version of the game.
