Beta invites for StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm are "coming" and will be sent out in waves, Blizzard Entertainment confirmed today to Polygon.
According to producer Kaeo Milker, new information on how to gain access to the expansion's beta will arrive shortly.
"There's some waves coming. I think very soon here we'll have a bunch of information on Starcraft2.com with various ways to get into it."
Milker added while the title has no official release date pinned down, Blizzard is in the "final stages here," and is in the process of readying for the beta. "It's nearing the end," he said.
StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm will allow users to play in a campaign as the Zerg, as headed by the former Terran Kerrigan. This is the first expansion for the sequel to Blizzard's original StarCraft title.
