Mass Effect 3's Leviathan DLC coming to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on August 28.

The next downloadable add-on for BioWare's Mass Effect 3, a story-driven episode named "Leviathan," will be released sooner than you might have thought. BioWare announced today the single-player DLC will be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on August 28th.

PlayStation 3 owners in Europe will have to wait a day, however, with "Leviathan" scheduled for release on Sony's console on August 29th on the other side of the Atlantic.

BioWare unveiled "Leviathan" at EA's Summer Showcase event earlier this month, promising "gripping and emotional storytelling, compelling new characters, powerful weapons and unique upgrades." Mass Effect 3 players will "discover more about the origins of the Reapers as they race across the galaxy to unravel the mystery that surrounds the fabled Leviathan," EA said.

Mass Effect 3's "Leviathan" downloadable content will cost $10 on PC and PS3, 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360.
