Major League Gaming's (MLG) Pro Circuit Summer Championship will kick off in Raleigh, North Carolina next week with a $215,000 prize pool across three major tournaments.

Major League Gaming's (MLG) Pro Circuit Summer Championship will kick off in Raleigh, North Carolina next week with a $215,000 prize pool across three major tournaments.

Hosted at the Greater Raleigh Convention Center in front of thousands of viewers and millions of online spectators, the Pro Circuit competition will consist of a StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty tournament, a Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur V on PlayStation 3 tournament, and a League of Legends tournament.

Some of the world's best players will be competing for huge prizes – the StarCraft 2 tournament alone rewards the player who takes first place with $25,000. Players will be flying in from around the world and all across America to compete. Among the favorites to take out the top spots in StarCraft 2 are TaeJa, Marine King, and Violet from South Korea; in Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur there's DetroitBalln, CDjr, Keev_, Kayane, Pig of the Hunt and LostProvidence, and in League of Legends 12 teams including Curse and Dignitas will compete against each other.

Along with the MLG Pro Circuit Tournament, the National Finals of the StarCraft2 World Championship Series will take place on stage at the convention center. Players will battle it out for $60,000 in prize money and the opportunity to presented North America in the Battle.net World Championship in Shanghai, China, this coming November.

The event will run from August 24-26. A spectator pass for the weekend costs $35 ($30 for MLG Gold Members). Online viewing in HD will be available via seven streams at MLG Live. Spectator and online HD viewing passes are available at MLG.
