Previewed briefly at the EA Summer Showcase today, Battlefield 3's upcoming Tank Superiority mode pits two teams of tanks fighting over control of a single flag.
The mode, which we'll have hands on impressions over later today, will be part of the "Armored Kill" download pack for Battlefield 3 when the add-on hits in September. In the mode, two teams of 12 fight for control of a flag placed in a designated area on the map. The winning team must control the flag and rack up kills while bleeding the opposing force's tickets down to zero, according to an EA information sheet. The mode is essentially King of the Hill in tanks and will be available on all four maps that come with "Armored Kill."
The event also showed off a new map, Armored Shield, which features the fields surrounding Sennoy, Russia.
