"Lord of the Rings Online" expansion featuring the Riders of Rohan delayed to October 15th.

The latest expansion for The Lord of the Rings Online, "Riders of Rohan," will see its launch delayed from September 5th to October 15th, developer Turbine announced today.

In a post on the game's official website, executive producer Kate Paiz wrote that despite a successful beta program with good-quality feedback, Turbine will need more time to address some of the issues uncovered by testers.

Players who have already pre-ordered the expansion will receive 500 Turbine Points and a Lord of the Rings Online "goodie bag" including six performance-boosting items for use in-game. Players will automatically receive the points and the code for the items will be redeemable beginning September 5th, the add-on's original release date.

The Lord of the Rings Online released in April 2007 and has seen three previous expansions based on J.R.R. Tolkien's classic fantasy trilogy: "Mines of Moria," "Siege of Mirkwood," and "Rise of Isenagrd."
