Battlefield 3 developer leaves DICE for Angry Birds studio Rovio.
EA Digital Illusions CE senior producer Patrick Liu leaves the Battlefield studio to join Angry Birds developer Rovio as its creative director, Develop reports.
Liu is the first hire at the studio's new Sweden office, which is headed by Oskar Burman, previously of EA Easy.
In his five years at EA Digital Illusions CE, Liu previously worked on Battlefield 3, Bad Company, and Medal of Honor. In addition he took the role of associate producer at Swedish studio Starbreeze.
Last month, Battlefield 3's lead designer David Goldfarb announced he would be leaving the studio after five years and four projects. Goldfarb is now currently with Starbreeze-owned developer Overkill Software.
