Insomniac Games announces 'Fuse,' an 'all-new intellectual property'

Goodbye, Overstrike. Hello, Fuse.

Fuse is the next original game from Insomniac Games.

Insomniac Games founder Ted Price announced at his PAX Prime keynote today that his company was working on an "all-new intellectual property" named Fuse.

Price showed a screenshot from the game — which looked similar to Insomniac's already announced shooter Overstrike, which may explain the fate of that game — and a link to Fusegame.com. The site currently features a countdown clock that expires sometime in September.

Insomniac Games first revealed Overstrike in 2011 with a pre-rendered trailer at an Electronic Arts press conference. The game hasn't been shown publicly since.

We'll have more on Fuse and Insomniac Games developments later today following our interview with Price.
