Age of Conan's American PvE servers Set and Wiccana are merging this week, with the merged server retaining the Set name.
The US server merge will take place August 7th and the down time is expected to last no more than 24 hours.
The developers have created a lengthy FAQ that addresses issues that might arise from the server merge, such as characters with the same names ending up on the same server. In such an instance, several factors will be taken into account, such as whether the account is still active. If several players from different accounts are all active then the player with the higher level will keep the name. If the characters are on the same level then the player who has been registered on a longer time base will keep the name.
The FAQ also addresses the possibility of two guilds with the same name appearing on the same server, which will be handled by including the guild's origin server in the name.
