Toys R Us will release a $149.99 child-focused tablet computer called Tabeo on October 21st.

Toys R Us will release a $149.99 child-focused tablet computer called Tabeo on October 21st, according to a report from the Associated Press.

The tablet will come preinstalled with 50 apps, including Angry Birds and Cut the Rope and parental controls to designed to “block inappropriate content to surf the web safely,” according to the product’s page on the retailer’s website. The Tabeo website touts over 7,000 free games, books, and educational programs available in the Tabeo App Store.

The Tabeo will feature a 7-inch capitative multi-touch screen, 4 GB of storage, WiFi capability, and HDMI output. It appears to share many similarities with the Archos Child Pad, which was released earlier this year.

Toys R Us is accepting pre-orders for the Tabeo on its website.
