The current version of Final Fantasy XIV will suspend billing on September 29th until the launch of version 2.0 of the game – Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

The current version of Final Fantasy XIV will suspend billing on September 29th until the launch of version 2.0 of the game – Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

As of September 29th, no further account registrations will be accepted until the launch of version 2.0 of the game, nor can unused special item codes be registered. The simultaneous subscription bonuses for Final Fantasy XI and XIV will also be terminated.

From November 1st, character data and in-game process will not be saved, and the Final Fantasy XIV service will be shut down on November 11th until the launch of A Realm Reborn.

If the end of a player's billing period is listed as after September 30th, 2012, they will be able to play the game for free until services for the current Final Fantasy XIV end. If the billing date ends before September 29th, 2012, then they will no longer be able to play the current Final Fantasy XIV. The last day to reactivate a subscription or redeem any codes is September 29th.
