Home Tycoon, a free-to-play city-building game, is coming soon to PlayStation Home, developer Hellfire Games announced today.
The game lets players build a virtual city from an overhead perspective, choosing between an environmentally friendly path or a profit-focused one. Over 60 different unlockable buildings are available, including apartment buildings, power plants, and police stations. As mayor of the city, you'll also have to solve problems that crop up, which take the form of over-the-top missions like stopping a nuclear meltdown. Home Tycoon also focuses on vehicles — you might drive a fire engine to a flaming building, or race a sports car against friends on a track you designed yourself.
Home Tycoon comes with a free city and some free launch missions. Hellfire will also sell "premium" buildings, bonus items, and expansion packs focused on particular areas of the game (like the "Life in the Fast Lane" pack, which is geared toward drivers).
Home Tycoon launches later this year.
