The second update for "The Secret World," Issue #2 "Digging Deeper," has been delayed again for Funcom to fix a "severe exploit" in the game.
The second update for The Secret World, "Digging Deeper," has been delayed again for developer Funcom to fix a "severe exploit," according to a post on the game's forums.
Developers found an exploit in the update on Tuesday. Fixing the issue initiated another, necessitating the update's delay. "Digging Deeper" is now expected to release next week.
"Unfortunately, it will take us some more time to make sure the issue is removed and the new version has been thoroughly tested," community manager Tarib wrote. "We will keep on working over the weekend to fix the remaining issue and make sure that the final version will be ready for the live servers next week."
Funcom will update "the usual channels" – most likely the forums, Facebook, and Twitter – early next week when the update is ready to be deployed on the live servers.
