Korean massively multiplayer online role-playing game "Blade & Soul" is coming to western shores, courtesy of NCSoft.
Korean massively multiplayer online role-playing game Blade & Soul is in development for Western shores, publisher NCSoft confirmed today.
Blade & Soul uses martial-arts style combat emulating films like House of Flying Daggers and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Set within a world entrenched in Asian mythology and folklore, players create characters spanning four races, eight classes, and a score of professions to engage in a variety of player-versus-player combat scenarios.
The game was designed by NCSoft's Team Bloodlust, the company's in-house Seoul division, and Korean artist Hyung-Tae Kim, character artist for the strategy role-playing War of Genesis games and the South Korean Magna Carta series.
Blade & Soul was released in Korea in June and China in August. Western release dates have not yet been announced.
