The Masters Series Europe, Capcom's European Street Fighter tournament for the franchise's 25th anniversary, will conclude at the beginning of November in Paris.

The tournament finals will take place during Paris Games Week, which runs from October 31st through November 4th. Qualifiers began late last month; they're being held in 16 countries across Europe. Competition is taking place in four different Street Fighter titles: Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition ver. 2012, Street Fighter X Tekken, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike Online Edition, and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix.

The top two finishers in the Super Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter X Tekken brackets, and the winners of the 3rd Strike and Super Street Fighter 2 contests, will represent their continent in the global Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Tournament. The World Finals are scheduled for December 8th in San Francisco, with prizes worth over $500,000. All the matches will be streamed online at TwitchTV.

More details are available on the Masters Series Europe website. If you want to catch up on your Street Fighter history, you can pick up the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector's Set, which launches tomorrow on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for $149.99. The massive celebration of the franchise's storied history includes the following:

  • Four games: Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, and Street Fighter X Tekken
  • A two-disc Street Fighter documentary on Blu-ray
  • Street Fighter 4: The Ties That Bind animated film
  • Super Street Fighter 4 animated film, never before seen outside of Asia
  • The complete Street Fighter animated series
  • Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie
  • An 8-inch light-up figure of Ryu
  • A life-size replica of Ryu's belt
  • A 64-page hardcover art book featuring letters from series fans
  • An 11-disc Street Fighter soundtrack including remixes and fan-created music

A numbered certificate of authenticity rounds out the package, proving that it's a limited production run. Completionists will likely prefer the PlayStation 3 set, which is clearly the definitive version. In addition to all the content listed above, it offers PlayStation Network download codes for more Street Fighter action: the PSOne Classics versions of the three Street Fighter Alpha titles, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max on PlayStation Portable, all the DLC for Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike Online Edition, and 175 PSN avatars.
